  8. This program is for renaming, usually many files (hense the
  9. name) using specially designed Tools to do the dirty work for you!
  10. But you can also manually step through the list using a simple
  11. string gadget in a very comfortable way!

  24. The tools you can use in MultiRen is:
  25. >> Sort             - Sort your files anyhow, or shuffle them..
  26. >> FileCleaner      - Clean your filenames from unwanted characters and more..
  27. >> Adaptor          - Make all you filenames have the same length, smart one..
  28. >> Extension Editor - Change/add/remove/clean up your filename-extensions..
  29. >> RenPlacer        - Advanced *wildcard?-based rename/replace/find-functions..
  30. >> Numberer         - Number your files, or remove numbers. bin/dec/hex/alfa..
  31. >> File Comment     - Edit your filecomments AND filenames anyway you like!

  33. Two useful thing that I didn't classify as tools..:
  34. >> Export list as text.. - Save the list as text for use in f.ex a script or as a playlist..
  35. >> Import a text file..  - Import new filenames from a textfile..

  37. One of the more useful features of MultiRen is that no files are
  38. actually renamed during your work, but only when you decide so
  39. and press Rename in the main window!

  41. Another great thing is that you can save the list of filenames
  42. and their states if you want to continue the next day or maybe
  43. just to save the list as a backup so that you can undo your
  44. work at a later state if a tool didn't do quite what you expected.

  46. You can use it to create playlists, perhaps sorted or shuffled
  47. if you want.
  48. You can also edit file comments in a flexible way, like adding
  49. date or filelength to them or so.

  53. * NEW * Included the Substitute Generator into MultiRen. This should
  54.         have been done a long time ago but it just didn't happen..

  56. * NEW * Added a plugin: NGPTool. This helps renaming Neo-Geo Pocket

  59. * NEW * Broke a function in the Renplacer in the last release when
  60.         renaming using single wildcard. It could cause the renplacer
